The Ontario Swap Shop and it's group of volunteers has come up with a very good idea. They have created on the OSS web site a data base for car pooling to and from amateur radio flea markets. It is an effort to help people save on the cost of travel as well as to help the sagging attendance at most local flea markets. If you can either offer or need a ride to or/and from a flea market please register on this Car Pooling data base which can be found on the OSS Web Site. CLICK HERE to learn more about and/or register with the Car Pooling Data Base.
The date for our upcoming 2008 Hamfest is August 16, 2008. Work, by several club members, is now underway to create another Hamfest even bigger and better than the 2007 Hamfest was. As many of you are aware our 2007 Hamfest was a howling success where many of our guests enjoyed a tasty beef on a bun while inspecting some of the bargains offered by our many Vendors. Why not drop in at our 2008 Hamfest for some exciting bargains, draws, good food and of course a get together with some of your amateur radio friends. Again at our 2008 Hamfest we will be having a Raffle for a $100 voucher from one of our many vendors and a door prize for a Duo-band YeASu hand held similar to that which wasawarded at our 2007 Hamfest.
